Setup Email for use with Griff’s H.P.

Now that you have your domain transferred to Griff’s H.P. let’s set it up so you can use it to receive emails (e.g. user@yourdomain.com).

1 – Get a free account from Google for your domain

2 – Once you’ve set that up, input the MX records in Griff’s H.P.’s Control Panelbe sure they are lower case

10 aspmx.l.google.com
20 alt1.aspmx.l.google.com
20 alt2.aspmx.l.google.com
30 aspmx2.googlemail.com
30 aspmx3.googlemail.com

It should look like this:

It will take at least 12 hours to fully update.

Change Nameservers from DomainDiscover.com

1 – Login to DomainDiscover.com

2 – Click Edit next to Nameservers:

3 – Change Nameservers to ns1.griffshp.com and ns2.griffshp.com and click Preview Changes

Note: If you get an Domain change error, you will need to go to the front page and unlock it first

5 – Accept changes, wait for them to update, and go to Griff’s H.P. Control Panel to get ready for the change or click here to show you how.

Note: If you want to get email from, for example, user@yourdomain.com, then you must follow these instructions.

Add your Domain in Griff’s H.P.’s Control Panel

1 – Login to Griff’s H.P.’s Control Panel

2 – Click on Add master zone:

3 -

  1. Input yourdomain.com (no “www”)
  2. Input Griff’s H.P.’s IP address (you can change the mailserver later)
  3. Click Add zone

4 – Click on List zones to verify it was inputted.

Change Nameservers from Godaddy.com

1 – Login to Godaddy.com

2 – Click Advanced Details for your domain:

3 – Click on Manage under Nameservers:

4 – Change Namesevers and click OK to save:

5 – Wait for them to update and go to Griff’s H.P. Control Panel to get ready for the change or click here to show you how.

Update IP from Godaddy.com

2 – Click on Advanced Details:

3 – Click on Total DNS Control:

4 – Edit @ record:

5 – Update IP address and click OK to save:
